Mystic has a system in which you can create your own items and rewards
known as the crafting system.
Through mining, skinning, blacksmithing, tailoring, and creating, you will
be able to make your own equipment, or even craft your own prizes.
A great deal of work is needed to become proficient in the various skills,
but it is an adventure of a different sort, and hopefully will provide many
hours of new entertainment.
To begin, see the tanner.
Skining
Syntax: skin corpse
Type: crafting - utility skill
Level: 1
Skinning is part of the Mystic Crafting System. There are several levels
of skill acquired through successful usage and an initial training by
various teacher mobs throughout the realm. Once you have learned how to
skin at each level, it is only a matter of practicing the skill to become
adept.
The levels of skins available are: Light, Medium, Hard, Thick, Rugged
These levels are based roughly on the level of the mob's corpse.
You can view your current best skinning ability and the level of this
skill using the score command.
Skinning requires a special skinning blade that can be found throughout
the realm. As the bones and internal workings of a corpse are hard on
a blade, it would be wise to purchase a good one.
Not all mob types are skinnable. Mainly, animals and dragons will
produce the best skins, but occasionally others will yield a special
skin.
You may upgrade skins by trading with a tanner. Simply give him the
correct amount of a skin type and he'll upgrade you when you've met his
quota.
High level players will not be able to skin corpses of the lowest levels, and
low level players will not be able to skin corpses they are not likely to
have killed
mining
Syntax: Mine <ore>
Type: crafting - utility skill
Level: 1
Mining is part of the Mystic Crafting System. There are several levels
of skill acquired through successful usage and an initial training by
various teacher mobs throughout the realm. Once you have learned how to
mine at each level, it is only a matter of practicing the skill to become
adept.
The levels of ore available are: Iron, Silver, Gold, Platinum. Ore can
be found in various places throughout the realm, but nodes are easiest
to mine in mountains and underground terrain types.
Once you have mined (or attempted to mine) a node, you deplete the
amount of ore available. You can see totals for all nodes in a room by
using the detect ore spell.
You can view your current best mining ability and the level of this
skill using the score command.
Mining requires a pick. As striking the blade against solid rock is
hard on a blade, it would be wise to find a higher level pick.
To begin, find the mineralist.

HELP SMELTING
SMELTING
The blacksmiths of the land are able to take a chunk of
your raw mineral ore and create a usable bar of metal from
it.
To use their services, simply find a repair shop, drop your
ore on the ground and type smelt. They will charge a
small fee for the service and do a fairly good job.
cerate
Syntax: create <eq item>
Syntax: create -recipe (or -r) <eq item>
Type: craft - creation skill
Level: 1
Create is part of Mystic's Crafting System. You may search the realm
for many creatures who will teach you how to create your own equipment.
Listening to mobs is the primary way to find these special teachers. Many
will ask for a small favor in return before giving you the secrets for
the equipment you wish to create.
Once you know the 'recipe', you must place the required amount of items
on the floor around you and 'create item'.
The system is based on usage vs the normal Mystic Practice System. You
will have a hard time to start, but with practice, each item will become
easier to produce until you reach adept status.
Typing create without an argument will show you a list of the
items you currently know how to create and the skill level for each.
Typing create -r (or -recipe) will remind you of the recipe if you
have learned it, saving you the trouble of going back to the teacher.
